Kinkatsudo is a mushroom extract supplement brand run by a husband-and-wife team in Japan. The company behind it is MOMO Works LLC.

It started with lion's mane, which we began taking ourselves. Between work and raising kids, our own health kept getting pushed to the back. Taking it with breakfast became a habit, and we still do it every morning.

The problem was what you could buy in Japan. Read the labels and most products were either dried, ground mushroom or mycelium grown on grain. A proper extract made from the mushroom itself was hard to find.

So we decided to make our own. We use only the part of the mushroom you would eat (the fruiting body). The extract powder goes into plant-based capsules, with no fillers, preservatives or colourings. It is made in a GMP-certified facility in China.

We only make things we want to take every morning ourselves.
