Where to Buy Lion's Mane and Cordyceps Supplements in Japan (2026)
Short answer: In Japan you can buy Lion's Mane and Cordyceps supplements in three main ways: (1) online from Japanese brands, (2) on Rakuten Ichiba or Amazon.co.jp, or (3) from overseas retailers such as iHerb. Kinkatsudo (kinkatsudo.jp) sells 100% fruiting-body Lion's Mane and Cordyceps extract capsules, shipped free from within Japan. Kinkatsudo's products are sold on our own online store (kinkatsudo.jp) and on Amazon.co.jp (not currently on Rakuten or iHerb).
What are they called in Japanese?
| English | Japanese name | Scientific name |
|---|---|---|
| Lion's Mane | ヤマブシタケ (yamabushitake) | Hericium erinaceus |

| Cordyceps sinensis | 冬虫夏草 (tōchūkasō) | Ophiocordyceps sinensis |
When shopping on Japanese sites, search for 「ヤマブシタケ サプリ」 or 「冬虫夏草 サプリ」. For the difference between the two kinds of cordyceps, see Cordyceps sinensis vs militaris.
